I just fixed a small visual bug with the commenting in Wordpress 2.6.5 and below. The comment labels such Name, Site and Email would be inline with each other right next to the input box.

I’ve uploaded Equilibrium 1.4 so head over to http://madebyon.com/equilibrium-wordpress-theme/ and give it a download. However you don’t need it if your running 2.7!

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock these past few days, and not heard about 24 Ways then you should be ashamed!

It’s basically an “advent calendar for web geeks” with brilliant articles about web design and development which get published once a day for 24 days up till Christmas.

I have to say too, that i love the design. Ok it might not be a looker – but i love how experimental it is, very slick and sleek.

Equilibrium 1.3 – Wordpress 2.7 Comment Threading

First off i want to give many thanks to all those which have been downloading and using Equilibrium. I didn’t expect it to be this popular! I’ve learnt so much from releasing the theme, and cannot wait to release my next one!

Had some free time so i decided to tweak and improve Equilibrium. The most noticeable change with the 1.3 release is that it supports Wordpress 2.7 Comment Threading but if you do not have 2.7 it will still be backwards compatible!

For a future release i’m thinking about incorporating AJAX into the sidebar, which will have tabbed sections instead of the current sidebar. But i would love to know what people would like to see in the next release! So get in touch!

I’m happy to release my first public Wordpress theme Equilibrium, which is aimed at those who want a clean and simple magazine styled blog. Plugins are not required and widgets are supported.

The theme is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 License. Which means you can use it for whatever you want. However, you must keep the Made By On link and credit in the footer and must not sell or redistribute the theme without my permission.

Thanks to jinesh for finding the Firefox 2 bug, which would make the featured posts drop below each other. I also fixed a sidebar bug in Firefox 2. These both are in 1.2.

Redesign

After many weekends and afternoons I’ve finanlly finished the new redesign! I still need to add some of my older work in the portfolio page which i should get around to this weekend.

I decided to make the portfolio section one page instead of multiple pages like it was in the last design as well as making some adjustments to improve the overall navigation of the entire site, so it should be easier to move around the site.

Anyway that is all from me for now, must get back to work! Will be releasing some very fancy stuff in the coming weeks, so stay tuned especially if you use Wordpress!
