I just fixed a small visual bug with the commenting in Wordpress 2.6.5 and below. The comment labels such Name, Site and Email would be inline with each other right next to the input box.
I’ve uploaded Equilibrium 1.4 so head over to http://madebyon.com/equilibrium-wordpress-theme/ and give it a download. However you don’t need it if your running 2.7!

@Tom - If you go to your Categories section, and copy the link location of a category and paste it somewhere you should find the cat_ID in the link.

I found the Cat-Ids now, but I can’t get it to work properly. The first “Edit below” part determines, which Category is displayed as “Featured”, right? The third “Edit below” bit determines how many “Latest Posts” are displayed? What does the second “Edit below” thing do?

All you need to do is just replace the ID value in each “Edit below” with your featured section. So do that 3 times.
Make sure under “Edit Below 3″
That you have a ‘-’ after ‘=’ without the quotes of course.

Hi Tudinh, you made a really nice theme, i’m trying to use it but I’m desperate about making the featured posts working properly. I don’t know anything about php or wordpress. I would like you to help me with that please. I know I need to change something in this three lines but I don’t know how. The category I want to be featured is the category with id “10″, can you reply me with the required changes please ? This way I will only need to copy and paste and make the theme working properly. thanks for the theme. It’s what I was looking for. everything works fine. Just on the archive-page I add the links to ‘older entries’ and ‘newer entries’ pages. And (but this is my personal preference) on the categories list (sidebar) I hide the featured-category.

I do have a little bit of a different set up than equilibrium, however there shouldnt be a reason why it shouldnt work.
why is the third section is “-10″?… when I do cat=10 nothing shows up, if I do cat=-10&showposts=8… the amount of showing posts arent 8 and there is one post from the previous one ???
Hi Itchy, thank you very much. Now the featured posts work as expected, but I have another problem. Only the last 2 featured posts are visible on featured area. Changing the “showposts=2″ on first line for “showposts=3″ efectively shows 3 posts, but puts 2 on the first line and the older under the newest. It’s correct to put a “3″ on this line ? I need to change something more ? Thank you !

Hi… I have tried dozens of times to get the Featured images to show, however, even though the correct posts show, the images do not. I’ve uploaded and referenced the image url in the Value as explained. Please advise.

- You can edit the sidebar.php file to add links.
- You can edit the CSS for that.
- Yes if you edit the functions.php file.

Hello there, great theme and it’s working great. One question though:
I see how to attach a “featured image” and a “new post image” but can I do both at the same time? Right now the new post image is just a shrunken and misaligned version of the featured image.

Can you provide some type of screenshot or a more detailed description of the bug on the browsers you mentioned?
You just need to create the categories within wordpress and they should appear.

You can do that by editing the sidebar.php file with the urls you want in order.
you got me wrong with the meaning of the categories. i meant that i want 3 categories displayed oin the main content. noe there are two - featured and latest post. i want to have the categories “events”, “fotos” and “media” published…with them nice avatars etc…
Hi, I am currently transferring my Blogger account to Wordpress and absolutely love your theme. I’ve installed everything correctly, but I cannot complete step 2 of the installation because my Custom Field doesn’t have a key value. Any suggestions? I have the same issue with the default theme. Am I missing some code or plugin?

1. It has been posted already here, but where can I find the Cat_ID for the featured categories, images on the front page? If I go to categories, its only the name of the category (even if i copy the “URL-Version”)

Now I have 3 pictures 3 posts in featured on the frontpage (yippie!)
only they display:
2 posts in the first row and 1 in the second row.
how can i display all of them in the first row.
And If i have a lot of articles, can I display more posts.
I already did that by changing/playing with offset in Edit below 2:
Only the articles dont display well (right now I only have 3 articles)

I’ve seen a few people asking for how to get an image logo at the top instead of the text. I just haven’t seen any answers to this question. I’ve got everything else working, just need to get a logo in there and I’ve been trying loads of things, but I just really don’t know where to start looking. All I understand is that I have to look at the html and css… but where do I find the html that shows that part of the page? If I just know that I’ll try and figure out the size of the image and the placing of it myself… (would be nice if someone can explain me the whole process ofcourse, but that might be a bit too much to ask). So if someone could plz direct me to a starting place I would be just as thankful as I am Tudinh for making this very versatile and beautiful theme!

Great work on this theme. I have recently migrated my blog from MT to WP using your theme. I understand how to set which posts show up as featured by assigning them to a ‘featured’ category and adding the ID number in index.php (in my case it’s 193). I would like to have my Latest Posts below to be different to my Featured posts above, just looks a bit silly repeating them. I’ve created Latest category, which is ID 194 and tried adding -194 to latest posts query in index.php but that doesn’t seem to be the way to do it. Still pulling in the latest 6 posts. Could you give me some direction here please? Is it possible to have specifically assigned posts showing up as Latest?
Anyone else knows how to solve it? Appreciate any help.

Oh I already found 1 solution, JUST REPLACE THE PHP CODES WITH HTML CODES.
I just copied the source of http://equilibrium.madebyon.com/ and you can get your idea from there.
If you want 3 columns or more, some lines of codes can be repeatedly copied and placed within the “Edit Below” group. the “Edit Below 2″ is designed for the last featured item, so if you want say 4 columns, 1-3 columns belongs to the “Edit Below” group; and the 4th one in “Edit Below 2″. The “Edit Below 3″ remains as is.
Hope this also works for some of you! =)
